The IT service provider Lufthansa Industry Solutions has implemented a novel solution for the reliable tracking of transport damages. With SIGNiT from G+D Mobile Security, it uses a unique combination of eSIM and Blockchain technology. The solution will be presented to the public for the first time at the 5G CMM Expo 2019.

With the Damage Detection Sensor, which uses the SIGNiT solution from G+D Mobile Security, Lufthansa Industry Solutions offers an innovative Detection-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution. With the help of IoT data, companies are able to reliably trace where exactly goods have been damaged during transport. This enables them to optimize their logistics chains and prevent similar damage in the future. At the 5G CMM Expo, which takes place from 8 to 10 October in Hanover, the company will present the new solution to a broad public for the first time.

With SIGNiT from G+D Mobile Security, the solution from Lufthansa Industry Solutions can secure one hundred percent trustworthy IoT data. SIGNiT combines the proven SIM environments and secure operating systems of G+D Mobile Security with the innovative Blockchain technology of the Cologne-based start-up UBIRCH. UBIRCH has developed a trustworthy protocol to guarantee that data from IoT sensors cannot be tampered with in an undetected manner once it has been generated. The sensors' data packets are sealed with hard cryptography in such a way that it is technically impossible to manipulate them once they are stored in the Blockchain. This application form of the Blockchain on a SIM is unique and, in this combination, the first of its kind.
