UBIRCH joins eco – Association of the Internet Industry
Cologne, 20 August 2024 – The German technology company Ubirch announces its membership in the eco – Association of the Internet Industry. With this membership, Ubirch strengthens its position within the digital economy and brings its expertise in technology and sustainability to the network of Europe’s largest association of the internet industry.

With around 1,000 member companies, eco (www.eco.de) is the leading association of the internet industry in Europe. Since 1995, eco has significantly shaped the internet, promoted new technologies, created frameworks, and represented the interests of its members to policymakers and international bodies. eco has offices in Cologne, Berlin, and Brussels. The primary focus of eco’s work is to create a powerful, reliable, and trustworthy ecosystem for digital infrastructures and services.
The German technology company Ubirch has created the ESG Data Exchange Network to help companies and their suppliers easily and audit-proof comply with the EU's ESG data requirements in sustainability reports from 2024 onwards. It is a key component of the CSRD process, enabling transparency and climate protection through the exchange of machine-readable, directly operational ESG data. Both data suppliers and data collectors can reduce costs and become more efficient. The purpose of the ESG Data Exchange Network is to provide ESG data for Scope 3 of the CSRD once for all customers or to receive it uniformly from all suppliers. Ubirch specializes in the digital verification of data and was founded in 2016. Together with a consortium, the company developed the EU digital COVID certificate for Germany.
